How Much Do Custom Football Kits Cost Per Player?
There's no single honest number that applies to every club — but the five factors that set your actual per-player price are the same on every quote.
Published — True Fit Sportswear Team
Short answer: the per-player price of a custom football kit depends on five things: what is in the kit, the fabric, the decoration method, your squad size and the extras (numbers, crest, sponsors). We do not publish a flat price, because two clubs asking for "a kit" can mean very different garments. We quote the actual per-player figure in writing once we have your spec, with shipping from Sialkot included. Bulk orders start at 20 pieces per style, and a sample can be a single piece.
Why We Won't Quote A Flat "Per Kit" Price Upfront
Any manufacturer giving you a single number before seeing your design, fabric preference and squad size is either guessing or quoting a stripped-down base kit that won't match what you actually want. Here's what genuinely moves the price, so you can budget realistically before asking for a real number.
1. What's In The Kit
A jersey alone costs less than a full Match Day Kit — home and away jerseys, shorts, socks, a training top and a goalkeeper jersey, packed in a kit bag. Decide what's actually in scope before comparing prices between quotes, and remember that every extra piece (a warm-up jacket, a second goalkeeper color) is another item to cut, decorate and size.
2. Fabric Weight & Blend
A lighter standard match-weight polyester costs less than a heavier training-grade fabric or a stretch blend with added elastane. Fabric is usually the largest single material cost in a kit, and goalkeeper jerseys in heavier or padded fabric cost more than outfield shirts. See our fabric guide for how to choose between them.
3. Decoration Method
Full sublimation, screen printing and embroidery are priced differently — see our decoration methods guide for which fits your design and budget. As a rule, an all-over sublimated design costs about the same whether it uses two colors or twenty, while screen print cost rises with every extra color and embroidery cost rises with stitch count. Simplifying a design is often the quickest way to lower the price without changing the fabric.
4. Squad Size
Cutting and print setup costs are largely fixed per design, so spreading that cost across more players lowers your per-player price. Our 20-piece bulk MOQ is the floor — larger squads can see a better per-unit rate. Colorways count too: a home and an away kit in different colors are normally treated as separate styles, so check how the minimum applies to each one. See our sizing & MOQ guide if your roster spans youth and adult sizes.
5. Extras: Numbering, Crests, Sponsor Branding
Individual player numbering, an embroidered crest, and sponsor branding all add a small amount per piece — usually worth it for a club kit, but worth confirming they're included in any quote you're comparing. A numbered, named roster also needs more checking than a plain kit, so our team uniform ordering guide shows how to prepare the roster before you ask for a final figure.
What To Send Us For A Real Number
- What's in the kit (jersey only, or a full match-day set)
- A reference image or existing tech pack for the design
- Your squad size and rough size breakdown
- Whether you need individual numbering, crest, or sponsor branding
Send those four things and we'll reply with an actual per-player number, not a "starting from" price. See our full football kit range for what's available.
Don't Forget Shipping In Your Comparison
A cheaper per-unit quote can end up costing more once shipping and any import duty are added — a quote that excludes shipping isn't comparable to one that includes it. Ask any manufacturer whether their number includes delivery, and whether it covers import duty (a landed-cost figure) or stops at the factory gate. Our quotes include shipping from Sialkot, with the courier chosen by us; customs duties and import taxes charged in your country are separate unless a landed-cost quotation was agreed, so ask for one if you want the full delivered figure. Read our shipping policy and see our UK, USA and Canada pages for country-specific notes.
Bulk MOQ Sets Your Price Floor, Not Just Your Minimum Order
Because setup costs are fixed per design, ordering right at our 20-piece MOQ will always carry a higher per-unit price than ordering 60 or 100 of the same design — not because of a penalty, but because the same fixed cost is spread across fewer units. If your squad is close to the MOQ line, it's worth asking what the per-unit price looks like a tier or two up before deciding on final quantity. Equally, do not pad the order with sizes nobody will wear just to reach a price break; a reorder can add the missing sizes later.
Ways To Control The Cost Without Cutting Quality
- Settle the design, roster and sizes before the quote is finalized. A change after sample approval is a new sample round and adds both cost and days.
- Use one fabric weight for home and away shirts, and treat only the goalkeeper kit as a separate fabric decision.
- Combine methods sensibly: sublimation for the main design, embroidery only for the crest.
- Order a sample first. It is the cheapest way to catch a fit or color problem, and if your first bulk order of that style is 50 pieces or more, the sample fee is credited toward it (mention it when you order). See our samples page and samples guide.
- Plan the payment: samples are paid in full up front, and bulk orders need a minimum 50% deposit with the balance before shipment, both by bank transfer. See payment options.
Get A Real Quote, Not A Range
Because these factors interact — kit contents, fabric, decoration, quantity, extras and shipping all move the number in different directions — a generic price range would be more misleading than useful here. See our general manufacturing cost guide for how the same factors apply outside football specifically, or send us your actual spec for a real number. For how long the order takes once the quote is agreed, see our production timeline guide.
