What To Know Before You Order.
Linings, Gussets And Modesty
Opacity matters in a dance studio with mirrors on every wall. We line the front panel and gusset, test fabric for show-through at full stretch, and adjust the lining depth for light colours like pale pink or white.
Fit Across Ages
Growing children need extra torso length, and teens change shape quickly. We grade length and cup depth on separate curves, then confirm the youth range in a sample. Our size guide shows the measurement points we use.
Decoration Options
Sublimation gives full-colour gradients and patterns, which suits competition costumes. Embroidery works for a studio crest at the chest. Mesh inserts and sheer panels can be added to the design where the spec calls for them.
Planning A Recital Order
Work backwards from the performance date and leave time for a sample and any fit changes. Samples take about 8–10 days and bulk about ~18 days. Send us a clear colour reference, a size split by class, and artwork. See our process page for each step.
Common Questions.
What fabric do you use for leotards?
Typically a nylon-elastane or polyester-elastane stretch knit, picked for four-way stretch, opacity and recovery. We pair the outer fabric with a lining at the front and gusset. Exact weight and blend come from your spec.
Can the whole studio wear one design?
Yes. A single design can be graded across the whole age range, from young beginners to adult classes, with the same pattern logic and a cut matched to each size band.
How do you finish the leg openings and neckline?
With bound, clean-turned or elastic-encased edges, depending on your design. Elastic is set at a tension that keeps the edge flat rather than cutting into the skin.
Can we match a recital colour exactly?
We match from Pantone references or a fabric swatch you send. Always approve the sample under stage light, since colours shift between daylight and spotlight.
Are there minimums?
Bulk starts at 20 pieces per design and samples have none. Studios with very small classes can combine sizes into one design to reach the minimum.
