Choosing A Moisture-Wicking Fabric.
What The Term Means
"Dri-fit" has become a generic search phrase for sweat-wicking sportswear, although Dri-FIT itself is a Nike trademark. A moisture-wicking fabric pulls sweat away from the skin and spreads it across the outer surface so it evaporates. Polyester does this well because it absorbs very little water, which is why it is the usual base for training and team wear.
Weight And Knit
A light single-jersey knit feels cool for running and gym tees. A slightly heavier knit holds a printed jersey better and resists snagging in contact sports. Mesh and perforated panels add airflow under the arms and down the back. We recommend deciding weight by the sport and climate, then checking the hand-feel on a sample before committing to bulk.
Print And Decoration
Sublimation is the natural pair for polyester: the dye becomes part of the fibre, so colours stay sharp wash after wash and the garment stays breathable. Embroidered crests work well on tops that do not need a full print, and woven or printed neck labels carry your brand inside the garment.
Sampling First
A fabric can feel right in a swatch and wrong on a body. We make a sample in the real fabric, you check fit, stretch and drying behaviour, and only then does bulk start. 0 MOQ on samples, 20 pieces bulk per design, roughly 8–10 days for a sample and ~18 days for bulk once approved.
Common Questions.
Can you make Dri-FIT clothing?
Dri-FIT is Nike's trademark, so it is not a fabric any factory can sell you by that name. What you actually order is moisture-wicking polyester performance knit, which is the same idea: it moves sweat to the outside of the fabric so it dries quickly. We make garments in fabrics of that kind and never label them with another company's brand.
What fabric should I choose for moisture-wicking sportswear?
Most quick-dry garments use a polyester knit, often with a small amount of elastane where stretch is needed. Lighter weights suit hot-weather training tees, mid weights suit jerseys, and mesh panels add airflow. Tell us the sport and climate and we will suggest a weight, then confirm it on a sample.
Can I print a full design on moisture-wicking fabric?
Yes. Sublimation prints dye straight into polyester fibre, so there is no raised layer to crack, and the fabric keeps its stretch and breathability. Logos can also be embroidered or heat-transferred on tops where you prefer that look.
Do you guarantee a specific performance rating?
We do not quote lab ratings or certifications for fabric performance. If you need a particular test or standard, send us the requirement and we will build to your spec, and you can have the sample tested independently before bulk.
What is the minimum order?
There is no minimum on samples. Bulk orders start at 20 pieces per design, and mixed sizes inside a design count toward that 20.
How long does an order take?
A sample typically takes about 8–10 days once the fabric and artwork are confirmed. Bulk production runs about ~18 days after sample approval, with shipping quoted per order.
