What To Know Before You Order.
Fabric & Collar Construction
A golf polo lives or dies at the collar. We build collars from knitted rib or from the shirt fabric with a lightweight interfacing, and a collar-stay pocket can be added if your members like a stiffer roll. Body fabric, weight and stretch are set from your spec, not from a fixed rack default.
Fit & Grading
Men's and women's polos are cut from separate patterns rather than one pattern scaled down, because the bust, shoulder and sleeve opening all need to move differently in a swing. Skorts and shorts are graded for waist and rise together. Our size guide shows the chart structure we work from, and we match your own measurements if you have them.
Decoration Choices
Sublimation suits all-over club colours and gradient yokes on a white or light base. Embroidery gives a raised crest on the chest or sleeve. Heat transfer is cleaner for small sponsor logos on thin fabric, and screen print works for bold single-colour marks on a cotton-rich blend.
What To Send Us
A tech pack or a reference photo, plus logo artwork, Pantone references and a size split. If you are new to specs, our tech pack template covers it. Typical mistakes are sending low-resolution crests and forgetting to say whether the shirt is worn tucked or untucked. Minimum is 20 pieces per design on bulk, with zero MOQ on samples.
Common Questions.
What fabric is best for a custom golf polo?
Most golf polos are a wicking polyester or polyester-elastane knit, often a piqué or micro-mesh surface that pulls sweat off the skin. Stretch percentage and weight are set from your spec, and we can swatch two or three options so you can feel the difference before choosing.
Can you add UV protection to golf shirts?
Only where you supply a fabric or a test report that already supports the claim. We will not print a sun-protection statement on a label on our own authority, so tell us if a UV-rated fabric is part of your brief.
Will embroidery pucker on a lightweight golf polo?
It can if the stitch density is wrong for the knit. We pair embroidery on light fabric with the right backing and a file digitised for that knit, and left-chest crests are the usual placement. Send the logo as vector artwork and tell us the size you want.
Can a golf society order a small run?
Bulk is 20 pieces per design, which suits most societies and corporate days. If members want mixed sizes inside one colourway, that counts as a single design.
How long does a golf apparel order take?
A sample is usually ready in about 8–10 days from a confirmed spec. Once you sign off the sample, bulk takes about ~18 days, and you can follow progress on your private order tracking page with photos.
