Most manufacturer websites look the same. Here's what actually separates a real factory from a reseller relaying your order to someone else.
What direct communication with a factory actually looks like.
A simple, revealing question: "who is replying to me right now — sales, or production?" A reseller routes your fabric and construction questions to someone else and reports back later, often a day at a time. A real factory answers directly, because the person replying is the person who can actually change the answer.
Any manufacturer that pushes you straight to a bulk order without a sample step is a red flag — full stop. A sample is how you confirm fabric weight, fit and construction actually match what you pictured, before you've committed to a full production run.

Ask specifically what inspection happens before an order ships — fabric testing, stitch checks, a final pass. If the answer is vague, that's usually because it doesn't happen consistently.
